Mare Performance Test (Field test)

Several times a year the Oldenburger Pferde Zentrum offers mare performance tests (“Stutenleisungsprüfungen”). The dates will be announced in the “Pferdeforum” and in the internet.

Please send your notification in written to the administrative office by the respective entry closing date.

Admitted are 3-year-old and older mares.

Please hand over the horse passport at latest at the test. You will get the passport of your mare back by return after the processing in the administrative office of the Oldenburger Verband (registration of the mare performance test etc.).

Mares that are not yet registered will be entered into the stud-book on the occasion of the mare performance test. For the stud-book-registration the mares are not allowed to wear bandages/tendon boots for better judgement.

The test will be held as a one-day predisposition test following the generally accepted rules of the equitation.

The mares are evaluated by the judging commission that consist of 2 judges at the jumping, 2 judges at the riding as well as one/two external riders respectively.

The procedure of the mare performance test and percentage assessment:

1) Free-run with evaluation of the main paces (15%)
2) Free-jumping (30%)
3) Stud-book registration (for mares that are not yet registered)
4) Presentation under the own rider with evaluation of the main paces (40%)
5) External rider test (15%)

It is decisive for the evaluation if the mare is suitable as a breeding mare with regard to the improvement of the equitation characteristics of the Oldenburger breeding.

In order to ensure a smooth flow of the event the mares have to be presented in ascending order of their head numbers.

The mares have passed the test if the total note is 6,0 or higher.

The fees (all occurring fees like mare performance test 30 Euro etc.) are payable at the event in cash or by cheque.

The organiser is not to be held liable for accidents or damages of all kind that occur to persons, animals or objects. Injuries or sickness of the mares that are presented to the inspection as well as damages to property or accidents that occur during the event are only on the risk of the owner.
