2004 Olympic Games 

Relevant under Lisa M. Wilcox won team bronze on the American dressage team at the Olympic Games. All in all, five Oldenburgs competed in dressage in Athens, three of which were former auction horses.  
After the first final round in jumping at the Olympic Games, Arko III and his British individual rider, Nick Skelton, were headed for a medal but were thrown back on eleventh place after three faults in the second round.  


2004 World Cup

Rosemount Quando-Quando under Kristy Oatley-Nist (AUS) won the B finals in the Dressage World Cup in Düsseldorf. 2004 Championships Marcus Ehning and °Sandro Boy took the Vice Champion title at the German Championships for jumpers in Balve. Among the dressage ladies, Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff and Renoir-Unicef took bronze.
Rainer Duen won the German Driving Championships in Riesenbeck in the class for four-in-hand. With Cabiet, Campo, Magun, Mandy and Magnum, the 33 year old driver from Thüle stood on the highest honor step for the second time, after also winning in 1997.  Another Oldenburg, Landlord, was on Vice Champion Ludwig Weinmeyr's team.
At the German Championships for event riders in Unterbeuern, the Weser-Ems team that included Tina Richter-Vietor on Ami Petit and Anna-Christina Rössler on Just me H took first place. The latter two also won individually and were also members of the second placed team at a national competition [Bundeswettkampf] in Sahrendorf.
Victoria Max-Theurer (AUT) and °Falcao won their second Austrian State Championship title in a row in Fernitz-Auhof after successfully participating in the Olympic Games.
Silver went to Hannelore Volders and her just seven year old Real Magic in the class for young riders at the Belgian Dressage Championships in Lier.


2004 Youth Sport

Team gold in the class for dressage juniors at the European Championships in Aarhus (DEN) went to °Florestan with Kathleen Keller. Rescue Me H with Nicki Patrick (GBR) was on the British bronze winning team of young riders. Blue Ocean and Tommie Visser (NED) were on the team that took the championship title.
°Lady Weingard and Jörne Sprehe won the German Championships in jumping held in Steinfeld for young riders. Comodoro and Caroline Müller took bronze.
In junior dressage, °Florestan and Kathleen Keller took the Vice Champion title just ahead of the bronze medal winners, °Rose Noir and Kristina Sprehe.


2004 World Championships for young jumpers 

Liza Minelli and her Swedish rider, Johanna Bolander, won gold in the World Championship finals in the class for five year old jumpers in Lanaken (BEL).


2004 Bundeschampionat

At the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, Oldenburgs won one gold, three silver and four bronze medals. In the class for six year old jumpers, Lumos under Ewald Güss was the fastest in the jump-off. Lord Lancer and Jessica Kürten (IRE) won bronze in the class for five year old jumpers. 
Donnerball under Eva-Maria Willenborg took the Vice Champion title for four year old stallions. Third place among the three year old mares and geldings went to Eva Möller and her Damenwahl.
In the class for five year old dressage horses, silver went to Destination under Dr. Ulf Möller. With seven finalists, Oldenburg presented the largest lot. D’Amour with Christian Flamm took third place in the class for six year olds.
The Vice Champion title for six year old event horses went to Leading Edge with Julia Krajewski. In the class for five year olds, bronze went to Feinbrands Fee with Anna Junkmann in the saddle.
