In the class for five year olds, Don Davidoff with Dr. Ulf Möller took first place followed by Diamond Hit with Anja Engelbart and Rubinrot with Stefan Janson (SWE). In the class for six year olds, the former and new World Champion was Rubels under Hans Peter Minderhoud (NED). Dream a little Dream with Sandra Deker took third place.

2002 German Broodmare Show

At the 7th German Broodmare Show in Neustadt/Dosse, State Premium mare Lady Heida won the title in the class for three and four year old mares with emphasis on jumping. Donnerhall daughters placed in the finals for the "movement" champions: in the class for three and four year old mares with emphasis on dressage, Union took second place and State Premium mare Donna Karan third. Among the pure show mares, State Premium mare Maradonna took third place.

2nd German Foal Championships 2002

The finals at the 2nd German Foal Championships 2002 in Lienen were dominated by Oldenburg foals in both final rings: not only the winning filly but five others were among the top ten. Four Oldenburg colts also placed among the ten best.

2002 Bundeschampionat

With five gold, four silver and four bronze medals, Oldenburg was clearly the leading breed when it came to medals at the 2002 Bundeschampionat. The new Bundeschampion of four year old riding horses (mares and geldings) was a former Vechta auction horse called Der Euro, ridden by Johannes Westendarp. In the class for five year old dressage horses, Don Davidoff took first place. In the classes for jumpers, five year old HGF Can fly with Gilbert Böckmann and six year old Cody with Marco Kutscher both triumphed. And the new driving horse champion, Larissa, also comes from Oldenburg.

2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez/ESP

There were Oldenburg medal winners at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain as well: in dressage, Renoir-Unicef with Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff were on the gold winning team and Relevant with Lisa M. Wilcox were members of the silver winning team. Black Magic helped the four-in-hand team of silver medal winner, Tucker Johnson (USA), and the team bronze medal went to the Oldenburg four-in-hand driver, Reiner Duen, with Magnum, Mandy, Campo, Cabiet and Santo.
