Dressage Weltcup Finals
Aramis and Hubertus Schmidt , Escapado with Carl Hester (GBR) and Hardthof's Ludewig and Lone Jörgensen (DEN) took 8th, 10th, and 11th  place at the Dressage World Cup Final 2005 in Las Vegas.
Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff won the B-Final with Renoir-Unicef.
European Chamionships for Dressage riders

With 74.25 percent in the Grand Prix, Sterntaler-Unicef and Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff helped the German team win gold at the European Championships for dressage in Hagen T.W.
European Championships in Show Jumping

Gran Corrado and Yves Houtackers won team bronze on the Dutch team at the European Championships for Show Jumpers in San Patrignano (ITA).
European Championships for Young Riders

The title at the Preis der Besten for junior dressage riders went to Anika von Holdt and afterwards she won individual silver at the EC Junior Dressage Championships in Barzago, Italy.  Bronze was taken by Felicitas Kirschner with °Pollay. Both couples belonged to the silver winning German team.

In the class for young dressage riders, Blue Ocean under Tommie Visser won team silver on the Dutch team.

Denise Sulz and Quitte CR returned to Germany from the EC for junior show jumpers in Schaffhausen (SUI) with team silver and individual bronze.

Julia Krajewski and last year's Vice Bundeschampion, Leading Edge, won team gold on the German team at the EC in eventing for junior riders in Saumur, France.
German Championships

Georgenhof's Lausjunge and his rider, Anna-Maria Jakobs, took the German Vice Champion title in women's show jumping in Verden.

The German Champion title for junior dressage riders in Zeiskam went to Kathleen Keller and Florestan in front of Felicitas Kirschner on Pollay. Philipp Weishaupt and Conterno-Grande became the new German Vice Champion in Show Jumping for young riders. Denis Sulz with Quitte CR took bronze in show jumping for junior riders.

British Open
At the British Open in Sheffield (GBR), Arko III and Nick Skelton just missed defending their title, taking 2nd place in the Grand Prix.

Austrian State Championships
Victoria Max-Theurer won her third Austrian State Championship title in a row in Himberg with Falcao.

Piaff Sponsorship Prize
Johanna von Firks und Royal Flash° took 2nd place in the 2005 finals for the Piaff Sponsorship Prize in Stuttgart. The year before the couple took the 5th place in the series for Young Grand Prix Riders.
USA-Champion

Currency DC with Susan Dutta took the title USEF/Markel Young Horse Dressage National Champion in Lexington (USA). The dark bay Oldenburg gelding and his American rider took 11th place at the WC Verden in the class for five year old dressage horses
 
Word Championships for Young Dressage
At the WC for young dressage horses in Verden, silver went to Donnerball under Holga Finken in the class for five year olds and to Spirit Freedom under the British rider, Damian Hallam, in the class for six year olds. The Oldenburg Main Premium winner, Florencio I (by Florestan-Weltmeyer) won his second WC title under Hans Peter Minderhoud (NED).

Bundeschampionat
At the 2005 Bundeschampionat, Oldenburg took gold three times, silver once and bronze twice, becoming the leading breeding area in front of Westphalia and Hanover. The former top priced Vechta auction horse, Duino, won the Bundeschampionat in the class for three year old stallions under Kira Wulferding. In the class for four year old stallions, Donavan under Monika Mittermayerr took the title. San Rubin, under Dr. Ulf Möller in the finals, was the measure for all things. The judges gave this licensed Sandro Hit-Rubinstein son a score of 9.3.

German Foal Championships
The Champion Colt at the German Foal Championships was a Laurentio-Andiamo offspring presented by Ludwig Kottig from Gronau-Epe. In the "ladies-class", bronze went to a Sandro Hit-Frisbee filly bred by Kurt Strecker, Elz. With six Oldenburg and one OS foal, Oldenburg dominated both the final rings.
