It`s done! In addition to the dressage sales stable existing since two years now, a new sales and competition stable for jumping horses will be opened on 2nd May 2007 at the Oldenburger Pferdezentrum in Vechta.

For some time the marketing department of the Oldenburger Pferdezentrum would like to offer customers the possibility to buy and sell horses throughout the year.

This task was taken up from the international well known and highly successful Dutch show jumping rider “Gerald Geessink”.

“We are proud and glad to have such a renowned rider with us”, said Uwe Heckmann while signing the contract. Moreover he would be a real support at the elite auctions.

Gerald Geessink, the 33 year old son of a successful stallion breeder is born in Zwolle/ Netherlands and has only recently jointed the Dutch C-Kader.

He worked for 3 years as a rider at Paul Schockemöhle`s stables in Mühlen and for 1 year at the Jimmy Torano/ Fort Lauderdale stable in the USA.

A 7th place at the Dutch Championship 2006, winner of the “Großer Preis” in Rastede 2006, international placings at the CSI Spangenberg and Zuidlaren, and front placings at the German Championship in Warendorf (2nd place/ 6th place finals) are just a few of the successes the last year has brought him.

While in Vechta he will be taking part in international competitions and will also be presenting the talented offspring from the regional breeders.

Heckmann: “Geesinks professionalism and even-tempered manner are well known and thus he is the right person to represent the Oldenburger Pferdezentrum in matters concerning jumping and training.”

Since May, breeders from the Oldenburg Verband and Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg-International Verband have the possibility of bringing their talented jumpers to Vechta for professional training.
