In January 2005 the day of the free-jumping was entered for the first time into the offer of events of the Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg – International (OS).
This event will also keep its place in future at the beginning of february.
Horses with an OL and OS brand and when their owners are members of the Verband der Züchter des Oldenburger Pferdes (OL) or the Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg – International (OS) can participate.
Here 3- and 4-year-old horses with a jumping orientated pedigree compete classified into their age-groups.
After having jumped several times a free-jumping line (cross – oxer – oxer) the youngster gets a mark for manner, technique and panoramic view (A-mark) and a mark for the ability (B-mark).
At the end both marks will be added and the horse with the highest score wins.
The evaluation will be made by two judges.
For february 2008, Ulrich Henschke and Peter Weinberg could be won for this.
Experience has shown that a good number of the horses that have signed up are for sale so there's usually plenty of negotiating going on after the event.
All of the horses that have signed up will be listed in a catalogue and on the Internet approx. 2 weeks before the event!
After the event the horses will remain on the Internet for up to 8 weeks with the telephone numbers of the exhibitors.
