21.05.2008 – 44th Summer Mixed Sales

At the 44th edition of the Special Auction on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta, 44 riding horses, 8 broodmares and 34 hand-selected elite foals will be auctioned.

A Rubin-Royal son named Raffles will open the Summer Mixed Sales with catalogue number one. This six-year old, black gelding from the famous Rudilore line has already collected ribbons in tests for young dressage horses.
Further dressage pupils are by the champion stallions Don Kennedy, His Highness and Stedinger. Well-tested sires such as Sunny-Boy, Don Cardinale, Don Gregory, Diamond Hit, Don Larino, Rohdiamant and Rosario will be represented by their off-spring in Vechta.

Along with youngsters that do not yet have show experience because of their age, there will also be a good number of horses in Vechta that know what it's like to have a ribbon pinned on. Among these is an Oldenburg-International branded jumper mare called Chiva (by Concetto-Lanthan). This six-year old gray mare has first and other placings in elementary (L) level tests for young jumpers. The clear winner of the free jumping competition of Frohburg, Acasandro S, is also in the lot at the Special Auction.

The Dutch Champion Stallion Zack, the Oldenburg Reserve Champion Swarovski and the 2nd Reserve Champion San Amour as well as Werder-Fan will be making their debut with their first foal crop.

The eight broodmares offered have select bloodlines in their pedigree and are of corresponding high quality, some with State Premium.

Official training begins on Thursday, May 29th. Entrance is free for the special presentation of the riding horses on Wednesday, June 4th.

On Friday, June 6th, at 7:00 p.m. in an evening show, auctioneer Uwe Heckmann will present the sport horses and broodmares in brief presentations worth watching.

The final presentation of the riding horses, broodmares and foals will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. before the auction begins at 3:00 p.m.  Entrance to these presentations is also free.
