The duties of the SPRINGPFERDEZUCHTVERBAND OLDENBURG-INTERNATIONAL E.V. with regard to the leading of a (independent) stallion directory and the stud-book, the registration of the foals as well as the breeding valuation of the stallions and mares are comparable to those of the VERBAND DER ZÜCHTER DES OLDENBURGER PFERDES E.V. The Verband has the main duty to promote the breeding of the show jumpers on the basis of the European show jumper population. It leads the stud-book about the origin of the breed “Internationale Oldenburger Springpferde”. Breeding area is the Federal Republic of Germany as well as the other member states of the European Community.

With just under 800 members in nearly whole Europe and their representatives the Springpferdezuchtverband is furthermore composed of the elements as management and the evaluation commission for stallions and mares.

The management directs the skills of the Verein and is staffed comparatively sport orientated with famous breeders and also international successful show jumping riders.

Members of the OS-management are the first chairman Paul Schockemöhle, the second chairman Leon Melchior as well as Gilbert Böckmann, Gerd Sosath and Dr. Albrecht Dalhoff.

Also the OS-licensing commission is composed of high-ranking personalities in breeding and sport: breeding director Dr. Wolfgang Schulze-Schleppinghoff, the Nation Price riders Sören von Rönne, Jan Vleugels and Peter Weinberg and auctioneer Uwe Heckmann.
